Love in a box.

I did this last year as a class. Thought I'd share...

You make the entire thing out of patterned paper. Some people have referred to these as "explosion boxes."With a series of folds and a few cuts, you create the box top, and embellish. When you lift the top of the box off, the sides of the box fall away, showing the cutest little mini book present.

If you use cardstock or double sided papers, you can use both sides. I used felt embellies and quickutz for this project, along with a bunch of flowers and some of the cricut dies.

And here is the inside of the top:
And here is a giant chocolate bar I wrapped, using the January WIP kit! This one is in the newsletter...
And here are a couple more I made using older Valentine paper. Am I the only one who has a crazy amount of Valentine paper in my stash? Seriously!
I'm out all day tomorrow doing a big crop, but I hope you all have an awesome weekend!

Later Gators!

  1. Hi Trish!
What COMPLETELY wonderful projects! I can't wait to try them! Do you have the instructions for the explosion box anywhere online? Inquiring minds want to know...and how does one go about signing up for this "newsletter" you speak of???

Have a cropping good time! Blessings!

  3. Hey guys--

You can see a tutorial on how to make a photo box at:

    http://www.scrapbook.com/blog/view/44784.html

If you go on 2Peas and do a search under the gallery, you'll find over 2,000 to view as well...

And Paula--you get a newsletter via email when you purchase a kit! Hope that helps!

  4. Wow Trish you are full of wonderful ideas. I think I'm going to attempt to make the candy bars for my son's class for Valentine's. It's a great way to use up my stash... Thanks for so much inspiration...

  5. I can't start my day without a visit to the WIP blog, and it never disappoints me! These are just the sweetest Valentine's project ideas.

Paula, if you haven't bought a WIP kit yet, you should grab the Feb kit if it's still available. The kits are always a feast of fabulous scrapgoodies, and the emailed version of the newsletter is jam-packed with project ideas and how-tos. Plus - where else would you find a more wonderful group of gals - Trish, her DT and all the WIPsters are just awesome!! :)

Trish, hope you and your scrap-pals have a fun and a productive time at the crop!! Can't wait to see next week's posts. Some eye-candy for sure!
