So I thought I'd share two today. This one is from my friend, Julie Krous. I made these over the holidays and froze several dozen (and since the hubs found the stash, that number is slowly diminishing...)
Sorry Michigan gals...
1 lb. butter 2 lbs. peanut butter
3 lb. confectioner sugar 1 lb. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 bar paraffin 1 box toothpicks
Soften butter to room temp. Mix butter, peanut butter, sugar (mix well). Roll 1” balls and put on waxed paper-lined cookie sheets. Put a toothpick in the middle of each ball; freeze overnight. Melt chocolate in double boiler, cut paraffin and add to chocolate. Dip balls into melted chocolate to look like a Buckeye. Chill or freeze. Take toothpicks out and enjoy! Makes approx. 200 Buckeyes.
This one is a quickie stand-by that even my kids will eat. We're headed to a party tomorrow night and these will be in tow...

Rondele cheese—Garlic & herb
Thinly sliced deli ham
Roll dough out, making 2 triangles into a rectangle, pressing seems to seal. Spread cheese out on dough, top with ham. Roll it up, and cut into slices. Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes.

A friend sent me that Buckeye recipe when she relocated down to Ohio YEARS ago and I've never made them. Now I've got a craving. Thanks a lot. You shouldn't be posting such nummy recipes when I'm trying to get myself all svelt. Ha.

I just saw your post about the PB Kids catalog and that lovely owl pillow :-) I got my catalog in the mail this week and I also fell in LOVE with that whole beding set and I told Richard that I want it for the baby's room which we haven't yet decorated or even begun for the baby that we don't yet have. LOL! Too stinking cute! HUGS!
