Ten Things.

Good Monday Morning to you!

I haven't done a "Ten Things" post in a while. Long overdue...

1. Glad I took the time to plant tulips last fall (worth freezing my tail off, too!). Lots of these all over the front and back of the house, and I'm in heaven. Also love the milk glass containers all over here lately. So fond of that stuff...
2. My mom double-dog dared me to grab some of these lilacs off a bush at the VFW yesterday, and to my daughter's horror, I was giggling in delight. In the rain, screeching the whole time--my mom was in stitches. I know, great example, eh? Happy to grab her some, too! Shameful!!

3. Notice a theme here? I'm itching to garden! I started some herbs indoors early, and I love the way they look and smell...
4. Leftovers from a sleepover with 3 boys this weekend. I don't know if it is because of the Ali E. Week in the Life thing or what, but I'm appreciating a lot of the little things this lately. Someday I'll miss these toys...

5. The Straight from the Nest Cricut Cartridge that Ms. Laina Lamb designed for Three Birds is quite simply, a must-have. Check it out here. This is a 12x12 cut piece of paper that I can't wait to use. Also anxiously awaiting to see what the next one looks like!!

6. This commercial. Everyone is singing it in our house, and when it comes on, we all stand and march to it. Crazy.

7. Anxiously awaiting upcoming info from Karen and Erin about more fun stuff coming down the pike. I'm an out-of-the-closet stalker to both of them and I look forward to see what they have up their sleeves...

8. Trying this new eggplant parm recipe for dinner tonight.

9. Working on a cool Teacher Appreciation Bulletin Board for my daughter's school next week. I went and did a photo shoot on Friday, and intentionally over-edited 20 of my favorite pictures. I added favorite teacher-related quotes, and picked them up at Costco today. I love how they turned out, and hope they do, too. If this works out, I may do 2 more schools...
10. Sponsoring the Willow Traders Challenge this week. Special thanks to Julie (I love you, girl) for all the hard work she put in doing this all month long. Be sure to check it out for a chance to win!!
Enjoy your Monday!

  2. Hi Trish! Love, love, love your blog! With regard to the photo of the toys, is that edited with software to blur the edges or what was the setting on your camera? I love your photos and appreciate your help! Thanks!

  3. Lisa--Thanks so much! I used the lens I use 90% of the time--a 50mm 1.4 fixed lens on a Canon body. I swear by it--and it is perfect for low-light situations (like my house at night, like this very shot!) Thanks for the compliment!!
