Playing Catch up.

To the amazing ladies that spent their day cropping with me, thank you for the bottom of my heart. Traditionally, the "Croptoberfest" is a good one to attend, and this year, you all out-did yourselves. For those of you who weren't there, all I can say is..."What happens at a crop stays at a crop" (to quote Amy's exact words.) Lots and lots of laughs, and I am so blessed to be surrounded by a lot of good-hearted, creative people.

I crossed my heart that I would post recipes we ate and also ones we spoke of, so here they are (click on the words to link)...

Cake Mix Cookies

1 Package Cake Mix (Spice, Pumpkin & Lemon are our favs)

8oz. Cool Whip

1 egg

Mix together. Batter will be sticky. Take a spoonful and coat in a bowl of powdered sugar, and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. These are DELISH! (I made carrot for the crop, but I also enjoy Spice cake and Lemon for these cookies!)

The next date for a crop is at the Waterbury Community Center on Saturday, January 23, 2010. The Fall Retreat at the Bertram Inn is in 5 weeks, so I will not be holding a local crop in November. I will be holding a class at my home for those of you who were interested in some of the leftover Bertram Inn classes (if there are any!), and I'll post the details for that at a later date.

I was sent this recipe today and wanted to share it too. Sounds delish!!

Lots of fun Halloween stuff this week. Stay tuned. Have a great Columbus Day!!
