Cinnamon Crescent Rolls

Pinterest, you've ruined me...

I saw this recipe using Pillsbury Crescent rolls, and I knew it would be a hit for our family.  And it was.  First, make the cinnamon sugar butter.  Or, if you feel adventurous, try using cinnamon honey butter.

Lay it on nice and thick.  Nice and evenly.
Can we have a moment and sing the praises of the under-appreciated offset spatula?  Seriously lovely tool.  You should have one if you don't.
Roll them up, just like you would if they were not buttered...

And drizzle the glaze over them and serve.  Totally DELISH and EASY!!  Your kids will love them, too!

For the formal recipe, here is the link from The Hungry Housewife.

Enjoy your day!!

Vacation Overview

Our family spent last week in our favorite vacation spot--South Carolina. This was our 4th year visiting the Charleston/Isle of Palms/Hilton Head Island area, and I'm quite sure it won't be the last. A bit of my heart is there as I type this...
The lush green trees and spanish moss hanging from them speak to me.  And the SUNSHINE just warmed me to the core.  Exactly what I needed after being in Ohio all winter long.

The city of Charleston is rich in history and diversity.  We returned to the City Market (a former area where slaves were bought and sold).
The Custom House across the street is where the slaves would arrive off the boats.  The artifacts and history there are amazing.  To this day, sweet grass baskets are made and sold by African American decendents.  Really beautiful...

So thankful my hubs drove.  We celebrated our 16th anniversary last week, too.  Nice to spend it together and away with the kids.
We spent some time at the Middleton Plantation.  I have to say, it was by far my favorite of all the ones we visited in past years (Boone Hall and Magnolia).  If you ever are in the area, be sure to visit.  Your kids will love it, too...

We also hit the beach.  Coligny Beach in Hilton Head Island...
We got shrimp at Shim Creek in Charleston...
And spent more time at the beach...

The beach at Isle of Palms is special to us.  It is also our children's favorite spot.  They never want to leave...

It was great to go away, spend time together, SLEEP IN, and breathe.  I didn't realize how much I needed the break--and so did the hubs.
I also can't wait to document the trip using the May Project Kit.  I've already started, in fact...

The other fun part?  ALL OF THESE PHOTOS were taken using my iPhone.  EVERY ONE.  I didn't stress out or bother with my bigger DSLR camera this year.  And it was WONDERFUL.

I will be posting my finished mini album on the trip, along with notes and such within the next week or so.  A work in progress!

Enjoy your day!!
