Good Stuff...

I wanted to share a mini book that was made by the sweetest lady--my friend, Phyllis Merrell...Phyllis shared this with me and I wanted to pass the idea on to you all. She made several of these prayer books for her and her friends at church. It is compact enough to carry around in her purse, and she uses it whenever she can take the time out of her day to pray...
It is filled with lovely quotes and scriptures, and the whole thing is made using the Making Memories journaling spots...
A great tip I learned from Phyllis is simply twisting the metal out of the holes at the top of the notebook--and when you get your pages situated the way you want them, you simply twist the wire right back into the holes. She demonstrated it for me, and it was quite simple!
She keeps empty cards inside the back cover of the notebook, and writes the names of people on the cards as they are needed. She then tucks the names of the people in her prayer circle into the back of the book, and prays for them...
Thank you for sharing this absolutely beautiful book, Phyllis! I'm happy to call you my friend--and I love your inspiration.

Speaking of inspiration, I picked these 1974 papers up the other day and I can't wait to use them!
And this is the second purchase from this gal on etsy. Love her work--you should check her out!

And last but certainly not least, if you are local, you NEED to check out Cord Camera in N. Olmsted this weekend. They have a massive amount of clearance stuff--and it is all an additional 25% off the lowest price until this Sunday. CRAZY!! I got the American Crafts Rub on books (Remarks) for $1.50!! I spent a fun evening there scrapping with friends and I told them I'd come home and blog about it tonight (hello Patty and April!). Be sure to check it out--the sale ends on Sunday...

I also wanted to scream a huge THANK YOU to everyone who turned out to the garage sale on Wednesday night and Thursday. I have never, ever seen anything like the crazy amount of people we had in our development (there was actually a police car directing traffic at the top of our street!) Needless to say, I was almost wiped out entirely and didn't even open today. Thanks so much for stopping by and telling me you read the blog! I was really touched by your comments and support, and it means a lot that you said hello...

And to those of you who missed this garage sale, do not fret! There is another one in the works, and the details will be posted soon, I promise! I will not be renting out the clubhouse as I did last year (sorry--I'll be on vacation), but I will hold another garage sale in August (along with several other neighbors who did not participate this time around) and I'll post more when there are details...

Enjoy your Saturday everyone!
