Favorite {Noteworthy} Photographs 2007

As promised, here are some of the pictures from the mini book I did for the January newsletter...

The cover:

And a few of the pages:

And here are the basic directions (just in case you have one of these of your own--but if not, there are a handful of the January kits left if you are still interested...).

There are 6 different types of journaling papers in each packet--5 of each, making 30 papers in total. Rip out 3 of each of the papers, leaving only 2 of each journaling spot left in the book. There should be 12 papers remaining in the spiral book when this is done. Next, adhere the matching paper to the backs of the pages. You'll need to turn them upside down, but they're close in being mirror images. (Note: the blue bracket journaling spot is off a bit. I still used it and decided to paint the edges because it bothered me. But you can ink it or cut it to fit if you want as well.)

As far as the fringed edge, I simply tucked it back into the spiral. You can't even tell it was torn out! Mind you, you should be neat when ripping the papers out. But it shouldn't be too difficult!

If you do this correctly, you will have the cover, the dedication page, and 12 two page mini layouts for your months. I did take two extra journaling spots and covered the back of the album, and also the inside of the back cover as well. It still left me with leftovers!

I've received such a great response to this, and I hope you give it a try. You could make it into so many things! One of the other great ideas I got was a birthday/anniversary reminder booklet. How cute would that be! Or for the graduating senior--a little mini of all their grade school years! The ideas are as endless as your imagination. Thanks for all the great comments--you guys inspire me!

Enjoy your weekend!

I already have a couple of these on hand but after seeing your idea I've decided to make some as gifts. I want you to know that you are SINGLEHANDEDLY RESPONSIBLE for these being sold out all over the internet! Heck, 2 of them DISAPPEARED as I was checking out at one store... they had 3 in stock and it went down to ONE! I had to search everywhere for more!! - Thanks for the cute idea - and you've probably got me hooked on the WIP kits, too. DRAT!!
