Brief Description of yourself:
My full name is Laina Louise Lamb. My dad thought it was the funniest thing ever when I married a guy with an “L” last name. I currently work at Archiver’s as the Lead Instructor/Events Coordinator. I have a degree in Interior Design from the
Number years scrapping: 2 1/2 years
I come from a family of crafters. My mother, grandmother and aunts tried for years to get me to join them with their projects. I never enjoyed sewing or the other things they did. My mother begged me to attend a crop with her in December 2005 so that we could “spend some quality time together”. It was a trap and I fell straight into it. One single crop and I went crazy! It was so much fun and I found that I was pretty good at it as well. My mother bought my supplies for Christmas, I gathered my holiday photos and away I went.
What is your creative process (if you have one)?
What or who inspires you?
My work is heavily influenced by things that are bold and graphic. I love to incorporate vivid color in all of my work. Lately anything Japanese “zakka or kawaii” is my obsession. I am continually inspired by Danielle Thompson even though she no longer makes "scrapbooks".
the new flocking and brads by Doodlebug.
Favorite embellishment I can’t get enough of:
Sewing on my layouts. I'm in the process of getting my own sewing machine. (my mother thinks it is hilarious after all my years of refusing to sew.)
Favorite Food: Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream
Least Favorite Food: Pork Chops - i hate chewy meat stuff
Favorite Thing: Going on Vacation with my kids
Least Favorite Thing: Cooking or Cleaning
A phobia: None really. I'm pretty brave except for the Power Tower at Cedar Point. I pretty much hate that ride.
An addiction: The Internet. I spend WAY too much time.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
