Now and then

I wanted to share some of my work with the November kits.I found these two pictures of Joel and the kids that were ten years apart. I was surprised to see how quickly time really does fly and wanted to document it in my layout. Chelsea from 6 to 16 and Zach from 2 to 12, and Joel... well you get the picture. A lot has changed and yet a lot has stayed the same. Like Zach was the quiet baby and here 10 years later is still the quiet one and Chelsea who was a story teller at six still today shares wonderful stories with us.This second layout I kept pretty simple. I wanted to tell a little bit about each person in the picture, little stories that capture who they are/were. And since 3 of the people in the photograph (my grandmother, father and brother) are no longer with us, I felt the journaling was the most important part. Funny things like how my grandmother could never say the word magnificant. She would try and try and laugh the whole time trying, but in the end the word never sounded right. And then there are some of the serious stories like how my father worked so hard to create a good life for his family and how my husband turned out to be so much like my father.

I really enjoyed working with these kits and capturing these moments on my pages...

Tina, you are SO good at using some of your older pictures and mixing them with the new. I need to do that more often. Love your pages--thanks for the inspo!!
