Christmas crafts

I love coming up with new craft ideas and I recently came across these candy canes in a magazine.
I then googled the recipe to grunge them up a bit and found it here
Using Chenille stems that I picked up at Hobby Lobby, I dragged them through the mixture and let them dry overnight.
(my husband thought it was beef jerky and my son thought it was bacon)
Once dry I remove excess cinnamon mixture and reshape
then just twist two together and shape into candy cane. I'm still looking for some greens and ribbons to embellish before I add to packages.
