So Embarrassed about My Space

I really cannot seem to find my scrapping space to share with you because it is currently buried under mountains of supplies.  It's pitiful and awful!  What can I say?  I am not inspired by my surroundings and despite a dedicated scrap room and two six feet tables in the room, I have an area of 13x13 inches to work on my projects.  And yes, it's not enough space to work on a double page layout, sigh...

I will just share one thing in my scrap room that my DH made for me years ago B.C. (Before Children).  I wanted something inexpensive to store the 12x12 papers and he put together these shelves for me.  I told people that he used a radio alarm saw to do the cutting. I obviously did not get an A in Shop!
Today, that beautiful shelf is a "beautiful" mess you see here, ugh, I can't show you more, it's way way way too embarrassing!  LOL.  Worse yet, I'm completely out of room!  sigh...

Oh Boy can I relate! My scrap table is piled high and overflowing! I am totally out of room for anything in my bedroom scrap area, so now I've set up another table in the living room, but it's so cluttered I now have boes of embellishments on the couch! Have I made you feel better?

love your transparency...thanks for sharing!!!

it seems no matter how organized i get...the space is a mess in no time flat. i think it just goes with the artistic need to be in the moment...and not cleaning up our messes.

don't be too hard on yourself!

This is too funny! My space was so bad I had to scrap on the dining room table :) But just yesterday I cleaned off my desk and had room to scrap on it.

Love those shelves!

BTW--Cleaning out/purging my supplies seems so daunting to me. So this year I made an easy goal for myself: on the 15th of each month I spend 15 minutes going through my supplies and purging older product or things I won't use anymore. 15 minutes--no more, no less. Whatever gets done, is done, until next month. I have a box in the garage where the purged items go. Then I have a quick access to products in case the kids need something for a project or teachers at school request craft supplies.

I feel ya, JJ! Thanks for having the courage to show us your shelves. I love peeking into other people's spaces and process. I am a messy scrapper too!!

I can feel ya! I just did a huge purge because I couldn't find anything in the clutter. And I think your shelves are great. I wouldn't even know how to begin to create something like that!
