T-Shirt Quilt

Once in a while, a reader will email me something that is amazing.
And that is what I'd call this T-Shirt quilt.  After going through all of my parent's clothing lately, I took the liberty to save a few items, and now I know I want to do this for sure.  Does anyone out there know where this kind of thing can be done?  She had no other information other than this photo, and neither do I.  But it's totally worth investigation, wouldn't you say???

Enjoy your day!!

A friend of mine pieces the tops herself and then takes top, batting and backing to her local quilt shop to be finished. She's done 4 or 5 that way.

I had a quilt made for my daughter for a high school graduation present from here:
http://www.willowcreekbaby.com/. It was not inexpensive but my daughter loves it and it will be something she will have forever.

Trish I too love this idea. I saw on the Daily Grommet that they do this. Here is the link. http://www.thegrommet.com/project-repat-5x6-blanket-full
Hope that helps.

There are ads in back of craft magazines - Country Sampler, Fons and Porter Love of Quilting to name a few - of people who will take your t shirts and make a quilt for you. You tube has several tutorials on t shirt quilts. That's where I got my instructions. I've made one, so far, with all my school t shirts, but will try a different format this next time - using borders around each block.
