My Irish is up...

I made a few of these this weekend while I was snowed in for my kid's teachers. I love those see-through paint cans! (Archiver's). I grew up in a very Irish Catholic household, so St. Patrick's Day is a big deal to me and my family. (But honestly, any reason to make corned beef and drink green beverages is cause for celebration!)This, along with green shredded and crimped grass, was on the inside:
And I plan on adding one of these along the side of the can with a note. Got these from Elles. Love her.
And these were hers, too. Perfect for that shower gift...
I couldn't leave these out...I tried them last year and when I found them at Target today, I was so excited! I'm not a huge mint fan, but these are surely delish...
And speaking of St. Patrick's Day, it will be special here, so be sure to check in that day. Take this hint, people.
Okay, back in the morning with a sneak of the April Project kit, featuring the Scenic Route Grafton line. Promise!

Spring Inspiration...

I spent a good part of the weekend snowed in here in Ohio. But the good news is that I ended up finishing a bunch of layouts that were incomplete. I don't know why I scrap this way, but I have the tendency to get to a point, walk away until I'm inspired...and then forget all about it entirely. So while my stack isn't gone, it has dwindled down considerably...

(Please forgive the poor photography...)
I finally printed out the journaling to this one...
And I did this for a class and finally added photos to it...
And I found the flowers I needed for this one too...
Feels good to finally get to that...

I also managed to finish packing the April main kits and the project kits...so expect a few sneaks soon. Both kits are seriously packed this month, and as always, Scenic Route has never disappointed me. This month is no exception! I have been thrilled with the subscription sign-ups, and am shocked by how many people signed up and have never even purchased a kit before! Thanks for your leaps of faith--you won't be disappointed...

I'll be back soon...

Sharing...

a few things I love today...

My husband surprised me with this for Valentine's day this year, and I have used it every single day since. Do yourself a favor and get one. There's a reason they're all the rage right now...Made a big bunch of Cinnabon muffins for the crop...I love Costco for selling the mix so I can make them whenever I want...
Put out a bunch of Easter decorations...Remember the carolers from Christmas? Same lady made this one! I've owned him for years now...
And my mother-in-law just got me these. I think they're adorable...
So the kiddos helped me decorate today...
...and even though it is snowing like crazy outside, it sure feels like Spring inside...
Have a great weekend!

Cute stuff...

For you local gals attending the crop this weekend at the Waterbury clubhouse, we'll be making a Heidi Swapp clock in the break-out class! Please bring any photos for the project along with you on Saturday. I will have a variety of papers from which to choose, and my button jar. If you have something in particular you'd like to add to it--bring it along too!And I wanted to post this adorable handmade owl sent to me from Stacey over at Zany Zinnia. She is a lovely gal and she took the time to make this for me, and I promise to find the perfect spot for it...
And last but certainly not least, I got this lovely handmade card in the mail this week from Christi Snow and wanted to post it because it is helping me cope with this blasted March weather in northeast Ohio. Thanks, Christi--it is adorable!
I'm looking forward to being snowed in and cropping all day Saturday with friends! We're expected to get another blast here this weekend, and there is no other place I'd rather be...in front of a fireplace, scrapping my heart out...

More tomorrow!

Happy Birthday, Molly!

And yes, that would be her layout on the cover of the March Scrapbook Trends Magazine!!! Is her daughter Caitlynn adorable or what? Happy Birthday girlie! And cute new haircut to boot! Hope you're enjoying your day over in the sunshine, Molly!

And a little birdie told me Anilu had a layout in there as well...is this true?

HUGE congrats, Ladies! I'll have to check it out...And can I also say that when my Scenic Route catalog arrived the other day, it was pretty darn cool to see Nicole Eshelman's layouts throughout the entire thing? I found myself looking through it as if it was a magazine--great work, Nic!!

You all are so modest.

So happy for you gals!

My Blackmail Book.

I have had the concept of this book in my mind for a long time. So when I saw the Making Memories black journaling notebook, I knew this was the time...We all have embarrassing photos of friends and loved ones. You know the ones. I had more photos than pages for this book! So selecting the ones for the newsletter and this blog was a bit tricky...
This was a stranger at a fair, doing face painting! I had to...
I have 1000 shots of my sister doing this.
And yes, that would be my former boss...
And funny baby shots (there is a whole page of potty humor in the book) are included...
I got a lot of email about this book after I published the newsletter with the instructions over the weekend. THANK YOU for your kind comments and your humor! I hope you all give it a shot!

Enjoy your Wednesday!

Good Mail Day!

I love my Fed Ex and UPS men...I got 6 heavy boxes from one of my favorite companies yesterday...and in case you were still on the fence about subscribing...here is a peek at some of the goods that will be in the April main kit...
The subscriptions are going well, and I am beyond thrilled with all the people who have signed up! Thank you so much! I do want to remind people that this is the only way to guarantee a kit, so please be advised that there will be less open available kits to sell to the general public because subscribers will have priority with not just the main kit, but also the project kit and add-ons as well. Please email me at Turay413@gmail.com with any questions.

And I didn't see it on it's first airing, but I watched the amazingly talented Claudine Hellmuth today on Martha Stewart! Holy cow, how cool is that? You can see it here in case you missed it too...

Okay, for those of you who are in primary states today, be sure to vote! I'm on my way right now...

Enjoy your Tuesday!

A Fun and Productive Sunday...

I got these out in the mail today...Baby shower invites...And while meeting up with friends at Archiver's, these papers managed to find their way home with me. Can you tell I'm ready for spring?
I can't get enough of these...and the vinyl in white and black are so beautiful...
Right before I got out of there without too much damage, Cathy and Laina did me in. Now, I know I'm a big girl and all, and I should have the willpower to just walk away, right? Oh no...not this time! I have been coveting the getty font since I saw it on the American Crafts release. And the fact that there are so many in the pack--well, I didn't think twice! Now, for those of you out there who think those rub ons are the same old same old, think again. A few of the fonts contain both black and white in the packages.

And do I need to tell you how fun the journaling spot rubons are?
Okay, and really, these babies deserve an entire blog post by themselves. I am so not kidding here. When I saw Laina's layouts in the store displays, I had to find out what she used. Now, I'm not really one to doodle a ton. I enjoy it--it is really fun when I do play--but Laina took it to a new level with these babies. Her layouts are bold and colorful, and her style is fierce. She's a favorite locally and over at SIS, so be sure to check her stuff out--
And so, of course I had to pass on all the enabling tips to my blogger friends, right?

And I also just want to publicly say thank you to my friends who met up with me yesterday at the store. Tina, Claire, Cathy, Janet, Angela, Pam, and Sandra--never enough time with you! I hope to see some of you at the crop this coming weekend, too!

Enjoy the rest of your evening!

Good Morning!

Okay, just a little update! Both of the March newsletters were sent out yesterday--so if for some reason you did not get it, please email me and I'll make sure it gets to you. The Letter to Me newsletter will go out later this afternoon for the people who purchased that kit too!
The butterfly is from the March Project kit--and my daughter and I have had so much fun with these!

I wanted to urge you to stop by two places today...

(Yes Tina, I'm hijacking this one from your blog because it was that good...:)

I took an online class last year with Shimelle called "A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words" and simply loved it. She is truly amazing. I know many of you know that already because I saw you over there in the classroom! Anyway, she did a freebie for February called Write it Down. You can check it out here. I printed off every one for my style file. Love that woman! I love how she encourages to think of the story first and scrapping it second... (Thanks, Tina!)

One of my favorite places to go is Willow Traders. They're celebrating their 3rd Anniversary for the entire month of March, and man, you should check it out!! Each day a different kit club sponsors contests, give aways and challenges. You'll be hearing more about this later on this month from me (wink, wink), but it is really worth visiting. At midnight a new company takes over and controls the whole party for 24 hours. Now, to avoid any confusion, go to the website, click on "forums" and you'll see "Official 3rd Anniversary"--that's it. Join the fun!!

Okay, I'll be seeing several of you local gals today, and I look forward to that! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

The March Main Kit Newsletter...

...was sent out early this morning...And the project kit newsletter will be sent out later today...

And I've had a few emails about the blackmail book...you all crack me up...and so I have to say yes, I had to be very careful about posting the pictures/pages in the book because so many of the photos contained scrappers...and I value my life, thank you very much. :)

But trust me, they're in there. And you know who you are...

Enjoy your Saturday!
