Felt, A Shameless Appeal & a Give Away

I made several of these wool felt poinsettias using a simple leaf pattern I drew on a sheet of paper and sewed them together at the middle. I used hot glue to adhere two layers on top of the other, and then used rusty bells for the center. It was really quick and inexpensive--and this one measures 8" wide. My goal is to do a whole garland...I'll keep you posted...

I'm in dire need of 3 things as gifts this season, and I'll take help any way I can get it! I'm looking for a Nerf Grenade (only sold in Australia or military stores in the US). They are only $10, and I'm a crazy ebay fool who keeps getting burned, so I thought I'd post this.

The other two items I'm looking for are Fiskar's punches, made specifically for Christmas. One is the Gingerbread Man and the other is the Christmas Tree.

I already own these punches, (I got mine at Archiver's but they're sold out everywhere locally) I need them as a gift for someone who would really appreciate them... ETA: I found the punches--thank you Amy!! Still looking for the Nerf Grenade...

SO...if you are out there and happen to have one, two, or by some miracle, all three of these treasures, please email me at Turay413@gmail.com for the love of all things holy. I will gladly pay you for them plus shipping--and I'll throw in a free kit to boot. I'm desperate, people.

And just because...leave a comment today and I'll do a drawing for a free WIP December kit tomorrow at midnight...

My fingers are crossed...

Trish I think I can get the grenade for you. My cousin is in the military in NY--can call her!
I love these challenges to get a Christmas gift that is hard to find!

I wish I could help, but I'm not military, and don't even have an Archiver's! :) Hope you're able to find everything!!!

Hi Trish! Well, if you are willing to purchase the Fiskars punches online, then go to www.scrapbooks.com and they have both of them in stock for $14.49 plus shipping. This company has been around for years (Keeping Memories Alive) maybe you remember them. I've ordered from them more times than I can count and they have great customer service and are very reliable. I hope that helps you. :o)

I wish I could help you. We don't have Archivers and I'm not military, but Amy's suggestion above sounds like a good one for the punches.

Trish,

I can check my local Micheals today when I go this morning. I'm not sure if you still need them though, it looks like others beat me. But I'll check and get them and let you know. I don't live in Australia so I can't help you with that one. Good luck and Merry Christmas.

Christmas shopping is really just a scavenger hunt. Although the kids haven't really asked for anything specific, we spent all afternoon yesterday going from store to store in search of a Wii. I had no idea they'd be so hard to find. And I am definately not about to get in line at some crazy hour in the morning just to snag one when no one has even asked for it.
Best of luck in your search Trish! I'm sure some little elf will find one for you!
