One can tell Trish has so much fun with her own kits. I love it. This one popped out at me for a couple of reasons. First...the story is perfect. Documenting a family ritual will bring such sweet memories in years to come. Secondly, if you know me...you know I love anything in a grid+lots of photos on a page. This one has it all.
Tina and her mini's always make me happy. Heck, mini's make me happy. And this is no exception. Plus her hand doodling adds such a personal and fun attitude to the cover. And ya just gotta love those journal cards. Way to work them!
Michelle's Mother's Day is so meaningful. Let's just start with that fabulous photo of all the girliness on such an important day. Then add the very fun elements of the kit. I really appreciate the garden theme she has going at the bottom of the page. Growing girls is so much like tending to a garden. Each day something blooms, or let's face it, needs to be pruned back. It is a definite labor of love to grow girls.
Laina is stepping out of her box again with this great layout. O.K...to take all these sweet colors and work them into a perfectly fit boy page is genius. And with the banner to boot! Did you notice the color beads she has on the banner. I like it. I was too tentative to let go of that banner....but she may very well have inspired me to do so.
Here Jing Jing is showing me what to do with the die cut paper. I am clearly inept when it comes to these circular patterned papers. She did a lovely job of helping us focus on the story with this page. And how fun was it to punch out the colored circles and add some pop to the background paper? Pure love.
Don't tell me you don't love the dimension of Debbi's layout here. I think every element of the kit is on this page, and it works so playfully. That little guy looks like he is taking in all the pieces of his layout from the sand castle, the whirly gig, and of course the sunshining down on his happy face. Oh...and love how she worked in the teal corrugated chipboard.
Last but not least...just another one from me that was not in the gallery...but I have found myself continuing to work this kit, and have a few more layouts up my sleeve before it's merged into my other stash. Hope this kit found you with lots of summer layouts and projects to work on.
