Hello there!

Well there certainly has been a lot of inspiration going around lately with the CHA show going on right now. I know I am completely inspired by what is coming out as well as excited to see what Trish will put together:)

I hope to inspire you a bit today. I figured since it is close enough to the first I could show you what I created with the gorgeous August kit that you can purchase here.

This first layout was my favorite. I bought my daughter some Jiffy Pop and we popped some popcorn! You should have seen the look on her face - LOL! She was amazed!

Used a lot of Echo Park here -- loving this company.

I decided to make tags that I could include on birthday bags. I sometimes buy just the plain brown bags and these would definitely add some color to the bag. All you need is some coordinating ribbon and you're set!

This card I used the stamp set that was in the kit. I tried to go the rainbow route and realized really quickly that I need to get some new inks - LOL! But I do like the way it came out and will definitely try it again!

That's all I have for you today! I can't believe the weekend is almost here - where is the summer going? I am pulling the reins and making it slow down!

And if you haven't bought your Kit yet --- click here - you wont be sorry!

A Summer Banner

Hello there! Just popping to share a Summer banner I made with the July WIP kit - sold out! I used a Nikki Sivils chipboard book. It was a house but I cut off the chimney and used just the base. I was inspired by the summer beach huts that are always so colorful and well, cute. So here is my banner.
I used both sides of the Echo Park paper. I curled the edges to make it look like fabric being pulled back.

For the letterrs I used my Slice.

I used burlap to tie in betweeen the huts - I think it added to the beachy feel.

It looks really cute hanging above my door. I hope this inspired you to make a banner! Thanks for stopping in.

Do your part!

Well since Earth day is today I thought the perfect craft to share would be one in which you could use items already used or at home.  I made this adorable paper bag wreath.  I used the tutorial from MaryJanes and Galoshes.

Instead of using a punch I used my Cuttlebug and my Spellbinders scallopped Nestabilities.
I used a lot more lunch bags than were called for in the tutorial but I think it is entirely up to you.

And then I just used a hot glue gun to adhere them on the wreath.  Here is the finished result.

I used 3 different Martha butterfly punches.  I used vintage book paper for them.

I hope you give it a try!

Easter Basket Re-do

I am not sure about you but it seems like time has flown and I can't believe that Easter is this coming weekend! I decided to tackle a do-it yourself project courtesy of Disney over at Ruffles and Stuff - she did a guest blog over at V&Co - another of my favorite blogs. She made this.
It is a Pottery Barn inspired Easter Basket. I wasn't intending on doing it - but when I saw the ordinary basket that I was using this year (all other ones are used in her room after easter) I decided to go for it - so here is what it looked like before.

I thought the pink and green were cute - but I KNEW - well hoped my re-do would look 100 times better.

Here is my final photo - what do you think? I added a bow and showed it to Alyson and she loves it! I am so glad because I am pretty sure I can use this as Spring Decor after Easter is over.

Thanks for stopping by today!

December Daily...Continued

Hey there - how are you this Wednesday? Closer to the weekend - isn't that what matters? Hehe! I wanted to share with you some more of my December Daily album.

I left off on page 6 so here we go with page 7.
Photobucket I covered a bit of the envelope and glued the photo to the front. The Journaling went on a journal spot that I had in my stash.

This year I made a different type of advent calendar. Here is Alyson in front of it before she started to open one a day. I decided to journal in the white space on the photo.

Photobucket This cute little pocket was perfect for the photo page I wanted to insert. I had decided to just make a grid with the pictures of our time baking.
Photobucket The journaling is on the back.

This is a mini page and I only printed one photo from Alyson's songfest.

We watched the 25 days of Christmas and I documented it. I did the journaling for it on the back of the previous page.

I had this making memories journaling spot in my holiday collection. I used it as a sort of "cover" page for page 12.

Photobucket The white behind the 12 is a Martha circle.

Page 13 - I added the Hambly transparency and the number 13 to the "cover" of this day.

I used a bunch of old stickers for this one. It felt good to use my stash.

That cute little chipboard flower had to be used. I added a chipboard embellishment to it. This page was about our movie night:)

I had a couple of mini pics that I wanted to use but I made it a little folder. I held it down with one of the chipboard pieces. I didn't peel off the backing and instead just used a brad to use as a pivot.

That's all I have for now. I am working on it this week to finish up. I will be sure to share when I do:)

December Daily

Hey there and Happy Friday! So happy that today is my last day of teaching for the year!! @ weeks off will be SO NICE~ And while I am off I will be sure to a catch up with my December Daily album. All has been documented in photos but not printed out. But I can show you what I have put together so far.

I of course bought the DD album that Trish put together and it was full of awesome goodies! Trish even has some awesome step by step directions for each page - love that! But I could tell right away that mine would take a different path - and that's ok -- it turned out super cute and I am having fun filling it all up!

I decided to make my cover with felt - and as you can see nothing was measured - and I am fine with that - just kinda wanted to homey feel to it. I did a lot of stitching kinda haphazardly and that worked out perfectly.

For the inside pages I utilized what Trish had already put together and made it work for my "vision". I loved that scallopped lace paper - so pretty - I didn't want to hide it so I put it first!
This page used a baseball card sheet that I cut to size. I actually did this in my album last year and I loved it so I put it to use again. Oh and I found the pack at the dollar store - so I am still using them from that same pack!

Inside of the kit there are many little envelopes that are so perfect for hiding some journaling or movie tickets, etc.

As you can see I just kind of went with the flow without too much thought going into it just so long as it was pleasing to me - and in the end that is all that matters right?
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Christmas is right around the corner

I mean how can you avoid knowing that it is almost that time right? All the stores have all but skipped over Thanksgiving and the aisles are filled to the brim with Christmas!! And I have to tell you it makes me so happy! I even snuck in my favorite Starbucks Christmas CD today - and I am ready!

Just to go along with my crazy festive mood, I want to share with you some past Holiday layouts/projects that I have created.

This one was from last year. I loved how the girls had "matching" outfits on (not planned).
Every year I try to make it a point to scrapook our Christmas cards. This one is a simple layout using Teresa Collins paper.
This is a little mini album I made for Alyson's first Christmas. I mean it was tiny - no more than 5 inches tall.

You always have to scrap getting the tree. Although this year I might do artificial. I also had fun including Pink with the red and green.

And a little card with a big bow - perfectly festive right?

I hope these have inspired you. I know they make me want to start my December Daily album!
Have a wonderful Friday!!
